• WALK from The ROSE to SNAKE CREEK Lodge:

This 30-45 min. walk (depending on ability) meanders along the quiet private dirt access road lined with cottages. Enjoy seasonal flowers, huge pines, and perhaps wildlife along the way! Easy to moderate, depending on ability.

• RIDE the MAJESTIC LIFT to the YURT at Majestic Summit:

Takes about 10 min. BE PREPARED to walk down - lift rides are UPHILL ONLY. There is no transportation from the top of the lift/The Yurt downhill. Only feet (or wheels if you’re on a mountain bike)! Walking down to Snake Creek Lodge from The Yurt takes 20-30 minutes downhill.

• HIKE up to the YURT at Majestic Summit: Takes about 40-60 minutes, depending on ability. You’ll walk through verdant alpine meadows, across small creeks, and possibly through the Frisbee disk golf course (be aware of your surroundings)! CELEBRATION of LIFE

The centerpiece of this annual gathering is held from 1:30-2:30pm at Snake Creek Lodge, under the main display of thousands of yellow Tribute Flags.

With the flags blowing in the wind, our hearts beat together as we honor our loved ones. We whisper their names to the mountains, hold them in our hearts and minds, and acknowledge lives well-lived.

The Celebration of Life program includes music, keynote speakers, a time to honor those who are no longer among us, and offers the opportunity to be in community and allow our experiences to move our spirits.

• OPENING INVOCATION: Rev. Nancy Cormack-Hughes

• KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Denise Druce

Other speakers representing a variety of experiences will also be present.

• DRUMMING by Shanti Sounds and Co., with James Wheeler

• HONORING OUR LOVED ONES: We honor the spirits of those who have faced cancer in their lifetimes. All feelings and experiences are respected - honor yourself, honor those you love, honor those who cannot be here with us. We hold the space in community, and acknowledge the impact of a cancer diagnosis.
